Construction Bookkeeper

Temp-to-Hire | $35-$38/hr
Location: Sacramento, CA

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper for a reputable client in the construction industry. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering a competitive hourly rate of $35-$38/hr, based on experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable

  • Process job costing and expense tracking

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements

  • Maintain and update the general ledger

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting

  • Track subcontractor compliance (W-9s, insurance certs, lien releases)

  • Assist with payroll processing and certified payroll reports as needed

  • Communicate with project managers and vendors to ensure accuracy


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry

  • Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop or other construction-specific ERP systems

  • Strong knowledge of job costing, billing, and vendor management

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment


Details:

  • Pay: $35-$38/hr (DOE)

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday

  • Type: Temp-to-Hire
